Dutch Fork's Peyton Bishop: SC's Top Uncommitted 2027 Recruit

Peyton Bishop, a 6-foot-3, 240-pound edge rusher from Dutch Fork High School in Columbia, is the top uncommitted recruit in South Carolina's 2027 class. Bishop is rated 88 by On3 (★★★★★) and ranked #9 in South Carolina. According to On3's Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), Mississippi State currently leads at 37%, with Virginia Tech at 25%. However, in-state powers South Carolina and Clemson remain heavily involved. "Peyton is one of the most explosive edge rushers in the state," a recruiting analyst said. "He has the size and speed to play in any conference. His recruitment is far from over." Dutch Fork has become a pipeline for Division I talent, and Bishop is the latest standout from the program. With teammate Jaden Wuerth already committed to Clemson, the Silver Foxes have two of the state's top 12 recruits in the 2027 class. Bishop's decision is expected to come later this fall, and his commitment will be a major storyline in South Carolina recruiting.
